Simply download that library from Ubuntu package repository - it’s available in 16.04’s directory:
curl -O http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libp/libpng/libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1.1_amd64.deb
Then, you’ll need to manually install it:
dpkg -i libpng12*deb
That’s it! Your software will work properly again.
